Napoli's furious late comeback keeps Serie A title race alive
With two minutes of the 90 remaining in Napoli’s home game against 15th-place Chievo Verona on Sunday, Serie A’s title race appeared to be all but over.
Napoli trailed 1-0. It trailed Juventus by seven points – three more than the league-leaders have dropped since mid-November. With just seven matches remaining once the final whistle blew, a shot at the Italian king seemed to have slipped from Napoli’s grasp.
But in a few massive minutes, Napoli seized it back. Arkadiusz Milik, back from injury, equalized in the 89th:

And with one of the last kicks of the game, after Chievo failed to clear a corner, Amadou Diawara found the side-netting to incite wild celebrations at the Stadio San Paolo:

In four furious minutes, the gap between Juve and Napoli went from seven points from four. And the Serie A title race switched from off back to on.
