Meet the area soccer players who earned All-MVL accolades

The Muskingum Valley League recognized its top boys soccer players recently, as coaches within the league selected the squads.

The Big School Division Player of the Year was shared between John Glenn junior Will Nicolozakes, Maysville junior Cameron Parker and River View junior Laired Williamson. Nicolozakes was also the Offensive Player of the Year; Parker was tabbed the Midfielder of the Year; and Williamson was the Defensive Player of the Year.

Philo senior Hunter Wallace was Keeper of the Year, and River View's Vince Andrews was selected as Coach of the Year with the Black Bears going 9-0 in the MVL.

Joining Nicolozakes, Parker and Williamson on first team were River View juniors Hayden Walters and Cael Summers and sophomore Parker Andrews, John Glenn senior Kanon Riehl, Tri-Valley senior Sam Schott and junior Yuvi Bastola, Maysville senior Drew Daniels, Philo senior Andrew Van Meter and Sheridan senior Jim Swain.

Second-team mention went to Wallace, River View senior Camden Albertson, John Glenn seniors Ashton Driggs and Aarav Vaishnav, Tri-Valley senior Gael Oseguera and Maysville juniors Cyrus Melick and Wyatt Mynes.

Honorable mention included River View senior Colin Addy, John Glenn junior Evan Haney, Tri-Valley seniors Camden Wickerham and Devin Watts, Philo juniors Aaron Bowen and Trace Wilson and Sheridan senior Brady Bevis, sophomore Thad Nikodym and freshman Kasen Miller.

Coshocton sophomore Kabe Bylaw was the Small School Division Player and Keeper of the Year, Morgan junior Tavian Myers was Offensive Player of the Year, West Muskingum senior Silas Bailey earned Midfielder of the Year, Morgan junior Bradley Spencer was Defensive Player of the Year and Morgan's Robert Cunningham received Coach of the Year after the Raiders won the Small School title.

First-team recognition went to Bylaw, Bailey, Myers, Spencer, Morgan junior Brylee Shannon, West Muskingum juniors Jacob Agin and Dustin Brown, sophomore Jaxson Prang and freshman Aiden Metz, Coshocton senior Aiden Braxton and junior Thomas Inglima and New Lexington senior Ethan Clark.

Morgan sophomores Brayon Miller, Jude Garber and Cole McGill, Coshocton seniors Owen Walters and Justin Shearn and New Lexington seniors Coltin Collins and Conner Spicer made second team, and New Lex junior Talib Tilly received honorable mention.

In the Licking County League, Zanesville's Tyler Bryant was voted the boys soccer coach of the year, while senior Riley Needles and junior Cam Van Kirk made first team. Junior Greyson Goines and sophomore Connor Baldwin earned second-team accolades, and sophomore Garrett McMillion was honorable mention.

Zanesville senior Rylee McCuen made the girls first team, while senior Emma Williams was on the second team and junior Ayanna Stewart earned honorable mention for the Lady Devils.
