Muskingum University bowling teams make program history during sectional tournaments

NEW CONCORD — The Muskingum University men's and women's bowling teams recently competed in their USBC sectional tournaments. Both teams recorded their highest finishes in school history, with the men placing second and qualifying for USBC ITC Nationals and the women placing ninth.
The Muskie men will move on to the United States Bowling Congress Nationals, April 17-20.
Muskingum's Evan Thro also won the Men's Single Sectional and will bowl The ISC in Kentucky. He posted a 267-1,415 six-game series to pace the Muskies.
Several Muskies garnered NCBCA Academic All Americans, including for the men, senior Logan Karl, sophomore John Jacobs, freshman Jacob Willard, senior Andrew Amore, freshman Jonathan Michadick, freshman Max Eder, and for the women, junior Kelsey Wilson, senior Kaylee Hauck, sophomore Caroline Sites, and Gretchen Cogan.
Taylor Clark led the women with a 235-1,138 six-game series and Wilson rolled a 211-1,079, while Ethan McDonald had 247-1,247 series and Willard added a 260-1,247 series for the men.
