Mulberry's Lorianys Castanon Cruz paces this week's Tremendous 10 poll with career-high game

Mulberry junior Lorianys Castanon Cruz scored 32 points in her first varsity girls basketball game as a freshman and since has reached 30 points 23 times in nearly three years of high school basketball. She reached a career high this past week to lead this week’s list of Tremendous 10 nominees.

The poll will be open until noon on Thursday.

1 Mulberry junior Lorianys Castanon Cruz (girls basketball) scored 60 points in Mulberry’s 70-57 victory over Lakeland Christian and added 38 points in a victory over Discovery. For the season, she is averaging 37.3 points.

2 Lakeland junior Indiana Myers (girls weightlifting) won the Traditional competition with a total lift of 310 pounds and won the Olympic competition with a total lift of 300 pounds in the 169-pound weight class at the 3A-10 district meet.

3 Winter Haven senior Isaac Celiscar (boys basketball) averaged 30.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 2.5 steals in two Winter Haven wins. For the season, he is averaging 21.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 5.1 assist and 1.9 steals.

4 Victory Christian senior LJ Cason (boys basketball) averaged 29.5 points in two games last week, including a 76-58 victory over Lakeland.

5 Davenport senior Lyric Pittman (girls weightlifting) had a total lift of 350 pounds to win the Traditional competition and a total of 290 pounds to win Olympic in the 199-pound weight class at the 2A-11 district meet.

6 Winter Haven senior Alyvia Logan (girls weightlifting) had total lifts of 350 pounds in Traditional and 315 pounds in Olympic to win two individual titles at 154 pounds at the 3A-10 district meet.

7 Discovery junior Darius Livingston (boys basketball) averaged 23.0 points, 3.7 assists and 3.0 steals in three games. He is averaging 22.5 points, 4.3 assist and 3.0 steals for the season.

8 Lakeland junior Rhyan Parrish (girls weightlifting) won had total lifts of 305 pounds and 285 pounds to win the Traditional and Olympic competitions in the 129-pound weight class at the 3A-10 district meet

9 Winter Haven senior Jordyn Frazier (girls soccer) scored two goals and added one assist in the Blue Devils’ 3-1 victory over Plant City in the first round of the 7A-6 district tournament. For the season, she has 17 goals and seven assists.

10 Auburndale’s Cailyn Rowe (girls weightlifting) had total lifts of 305 pounds and 310 pounds to win the Traditional and Olympic competitions, respectively, at 183 pounds at the 2A-11 district meet.
