Gabriel recently expressed his enthusiasm for being in Boston at the Celtics’ 2023 Media Day after spending time with the team during the summer. The South Sudanese center played a career-high 68 games last season, showcasing his ability to contribute as a hustle player who does all the little things for their team.
Despite being well under a 7-footer, Gabriel is expected to fill in some of the minutes left behind by the departure of big man Robert Williams III. Some even believe he could have a similar impact on the defensive end of the ball as Timelord, albeit with a different style and greater availability.
