The best part about the all-state girls soccer voting for Livingston County teams is that nearly all of the players honored will be back next season.

Only two of the nine players to receive all-state recognition are seniors.

Receiving the highest honors as second-team selections in Division 2 were junior goalie Peyton Delongchamp and junior midfielder Zaryah Griffin of Pinckney.

Delongchamp had a school-record 11 shutouts and Griffin scored 17 goals and nine assists.

Brighton sophomore midfielder Kate Carrico and Hartland junior forward Alyse Daavettila made the third team in Division 1. Pinckney senior defender Kailey Lambert was a third-team pick in Division 2.

Making the honorable mention list were Brighton sophomores Olivia Sebestyen and Ella Vandemergel in Division 1, Pinckney senior forward Claire Denton in Division 2 and Livingston Christian sophomore Audrey Johnson in Division 4.

All four Pinckney girls who made the all-state list received honorable mention last year.
