'Most famous ribs in the country' Urban Meyer says of Montgomery Inn's delicacy on Fox

The cast of Fox's Big Noon Kickoff Show tried a Cincinnati food staple on Saturday.

Midway through the broadcast taking place on University of Cincinnati's campus, the crew of Urban Meyer, Rob Stone, Mark Ingram, Matt Leinart and Brady Quinn were presented with a rack of ribs from Cincinnati's historic food establishment, the Montgomery Inn.

Meyer, who was prepping Ingram for his first bite of ribs, had nothing but compliments of the place.

"These are not ribs, these are Montgomery Inn ribs," Meyer said, "the most famous ribs in the country."

Montgomery Inn, which has been around since Ted "the Ribs King" Gergory opened his restaurant in 1951, is a household name around Cincinnati (enough of one to get the attention of celebrities from around the country) that specializes in ribs and its signature barbecue sauce. Ingram, Meyer and the crew of Big Noon Kickoff join a handful of former United States Presidents, some of Cincinnati's greatest athletes such as Joey Votto and Ken Griffey Jr., and artists, musicians, actors, and more as celebrities to try Cincinnati's famous menu item.

"If they are going to give me the ribs with the sauce, I'm going to go ahead and try it," Ingram said before the taste test.

"I told you once, I'll tell you again. The lord as my shepherd, he knows what I want. My goodness," he said afterward.

That sounds like a positive review from the former Heisman Trophy winning and NFL Pro Bowl running back.
