With Freeman out, Thelwell is the Eagles’ top returning player. Thelwell averaged 11 points, 4 rebounds, and nearly 3 assists per game last season for Morehead State.

Alabama player to watch: Nick Pringle

Nick Pringle’s progression as a player in Tuscaloosa will be critical to Alabama’s success this season. The Tide needs Pringle to be a presence in the paint defensively and clean up around the rim on offense. If Pringle can be anywhere close to where Charles Bediako was last season, this team will have great potential.
