Monday's Top Prep Performers from boys and girls basketball

Highlights from Monday in high school sports:

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • Spencer Clausen scored 20 points, Tyler Hook and Jackson Yeates each had eight points, Evan Dela Paz had seven points, Ty Chisholm had six points, and Shawn Mills added five points to lead Camarillo (13-9) to a 58-46 win over rival Rio Mesa on Pediatric Cancer Awareness Night. John Moreno scored 15 points, Jackson Knowles had 13 points, Rodney Adams Jr. had nine points, and Izel Vargas added eight points for the Spartans.

  • Dylan Benner scored 19 points, Mathew Wilson had 15 points and Donald Clark IV added eight points for St. Bonaventure (15-8) in its 66-58 loss to Crossroads in the MLK Day Showdown at South Pasadena High.

  • Isaiah Dillon finished with 18 points, five rebounds and three steals, Richard Miranda had seven points and two rebounds, and Steven Pillado added six points and three rebounds for Pacifica (7-14) in its 52-45 loss to host Bernstein in the MLK Showcase.

  • Levi Oakes had 23 points and four rebounds, Tyson Howarth had 13 points and six rebounds, and Drake Howarth had eight points and four rebounds for Moorpark (8-14) in its 65-63 loss to Birmingham in the MLK Showcase at Grant High.

  • Sebastian Juarez scored 13 points for Hueneme in its 81-31 loss to Castaic in the MLK Showcase at Providence High.

  • Carter Reid finished with 22 points, Tyler Pickett and Mason Stueber each scored 17 points and Will Friel had 10 points and five rebounds as Hillcrest Christian (13-5) rallied from a 16-point deficit in the fourth quarter to defeated Dunn 76-73 in a nonleague game.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Emerson Martin poured in 31 points, Daniela Rocha scored 13 points, Elizabeth Rocha had 12 points, and Christa Contreras and Addison Moody each contributed 10 points to lead Camarillo (16-5) to an 80-33 victory over Monte Vista in the MLK Showcase at Pacifica High.
