FINAL: Missouri 23, Middle Tennessee State
Pass interference gives MU a crucial first down
On third and 21, Brady Cook's overtreat of Luther Burden is ruled a pass interference call on Middle Tennessee State.
That gives MU new life and the chance to end the game with a few more first downs.
A safety gives Middle Tennessee State the chance to take the lead
A fumble out of the end zone results in a safety. Missouri leads by four.
It's almost disaster time for the Tigers.
MTSU makes it a one-score game
With about seven minutes to go, the Blue Raiders went right down the field and scored on the Tigers to cut the lead to six on fourth and goal.
Eli Drinkwitz's decision to punt on fourth and 1 at the Blue Raiders' 44 yard line led to a MTSU touchdown instead of giving the offense a chance to close out the Blue Raiders.
Peat's sweet feet puts Mizzou ahead by two scores
On the first play of the fourth quarter, Nathaniel Peat caught a swing pass and had nothing but turf in front of him.
Peat raced 49 yards to pay dirt, and MU now has a 23-10 lead in the final period of the game. That might be enough breathing room for MU's defense to operate.

Mizzou is back ahead thanks to Luther Burden
A long pass to Luther Burden put MU in scoring position, and Theo Wease finished the drive.
MU went back ahead of MTSU 16-10 with a short touchdown to Wease. Burden set it up with a 44-yard reception to the red zone.
But, Harrison Mevis missed the ensuing extra point. Thats the first miss of his career.
The Blue Raiders tie the game to start the third
On third and goal, Missouri's defense held strong. The pass rush was bearing down and forced an incompletion.
Middle Tennessee State still tied the game on a short field goal.
MTSU converted a fourth down and six with a 14-yard gain on a back shoulder fade throw. Missouri's defense is struggling to stop chunk plays.

Mizzou regains the lead before halftime
After MTSU took the lead, the Tigers got it right back before the break. Brady Cook took MU down the field and cashed in with a short sneak.
Cook, Cody Schrader and Nathaniel Peat methodically took MU into Blue Raider territory. The drive used up seven and a half minutes of game time.
Freshman tight end Brett Norfleet also got his first reception on the drive, too.
Missouri leads 10-7.
Middle Tennessee State takes the lead
After MU's offense keeps stalling out, the Blue Raiders have capitalized.
A short screen pass from the three-yard line gives MTSU a 7-3 lead in the second quarter. It's the first time MU has trailed this season.
It wasn't an inspiring drive by the Missouri defense, which was consistently turned around by zone reads and option plays by the Blue Raiders.

Mevis gets Mizzou on the board first
The Tigers drive deep into MTSU territory, but stall before reaching first and goal to go. Thankfully, Harrison Mevis is back to form.
Mevis nailed a 39-yard field goal to put MU up 3-0 in the first quarter.
The disconcerting issue, however, was the offensive line. Two flags and a sack allowed are what stalled that drive for the Tigers.
Mizzou opens the game with a punt
Middle Tennessee State opened the game by deferring until the second half, giving MU the ball to start.
After a missed deep shot to Luther Burden, Brady Cook is sacked on third and long to force a Missouri punt. Blue Raiders are up.
