Missouri softball's quarterfinal against Arkansas in SEC Tournament delayed until Friday morning
Two delays, two days.
Missouri softball's game against Arkansas in the quarterfinals of the SEC Softball Tournament has been postponed until Friday morning, the conference announced. Lightning rolled into the area Thursday evening in Auburn, Alabama, causing the Tigers-Razorbacks matchup to be postponed during the top of the fifth inning.
The SEC announced that the game will resume at 9 a.m. CDT Friday.

At the time of the delay, Missouri was up 2-1. The Tigers have runners on the corners and have no outs in the inning when play resumes. Jenna Laird had just driven home Kayley Lenger to give Missouri the one-run lead.
The game already had started seven hours later than originally planned due to inclement weather. First pitch had originally been scheduled for 1 p.m., but ended up not being delivered until after 8 p.m.
Now the game will stretch into a second day. Whichever team advances will play another game Friday evening in the semifinals.
There is lightning in the area between 8-10 a.m. Friday in Auburn, Alabama, per AccuWeather's forecast.
