Here are Mississippi high school football top performers from Week 9 of the 2023 MHSAA season.
Offense
Sam Semi, Clinton: Semi was 13-of-22 passing for 221 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-28 loss to Tupelo.
Jaydann Hollins, Clinton: Hollins had four receptions for 117 yards and a touchdown.
Brady Torrence, Clinton: Torrence caught six passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns.

Kevin Rogers, D’Iberville: Rogers carried the ball 20 times for 121 yards and two touchdowns in a 46-43 loss to Harrison Central.
Andre Crosby, D’Iberville: Crosby rushed for 75 yards on 17 attempts and two touchdowns.
Zay Quick, Florence: Quick ran the ball 27 times for 232 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-20 victory over Natchez.
Tony Vance, Hattiesburg: Vance was 8-of-9 passing for 148 yards and three touchdowns in a 46-6 victory over Pearl River Central. He also rushed for a TD.
Tavares Wade, Hattiesburg: Wade had seven carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
Tamoz Barnes, Hattiesburg: Barnes caught two passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.
DJ Hunter Jr., Horn Lake: Hunter threw for 164 yards in a 6-0 loss to Lewisburg.
Gunner Gilmore, Lewisburg: Gilmore was 20-of-33 passing for 184 yards and had a rushing touchdown in a 6-0 victory over Horn Lake.
Ethan Bobo, Olive Branch: Bobo threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-17 loss to Saltillo.
Jamarian Wells, Olive Branch: Wells had nine receptions for 135 yards and a touchdown.
Britten Taylor, Olive Branch: Taylor caught eight passes for 101 yards and a touchdown.
Keeshaun Robins, Saltillo: Robins ran the ball 16 times for 68 yards and a touchdown in a 21-17 victory over Olive Branch. He also had 82 yards receiving.
Tice Timmons, Saltillo: Timmons was 12-of-22 passing for 174 yards and a touchdown.
Jeremiah Harrell, Tupelo: Harrell threw for 272 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-28 victory over Clinton.
JJ Hill, Tupelo: Hill ran the ball 17 times for 92 yards and two touchdowns.
JQ Witherspoon, Tupelo: Witherspoon had four catches for 149 yards and a touchdown.
Qua Middlebrooks, Tupelo: Middlebrooks rushed for 67 yards on 13 attempts.
Tyreke Darden, Tupelo: Darden caught three passes for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Braylon Matthews, Tupelo: Matthews had two receiving touchdowns.

Malcolm Gowdy, D’Iberville: Gowdy registered 13 tackles in a 46-43 loss to Harrison Central.
Jaylen Barker and Shannon Donaldson, D’Iberville: Barker had seven tackles, while Donaldson added six, including one for loss.
Jabari Phillips and Jimmie Jackson, D’Iberville: Phillips had five tackles, while Jackson added four tackles and an interception.
Ronnie Aguilar, Florence: Aguilar had 14 tackles, including two for loss, in a 35-20 win against Natchez.
Brandon Mitchell, Hattiesburg: Mitchell had 9.5 tackles in a 46-6 win against Pearl River Central.
Johnny Butler, Horn Lake: Butler had two sacks in a 6-0 loss to Lewisburg.
Elliot Helps, Lewisburg: Helps had six tackles in a 6-0 win against Horn Lake.
Jerry Wall, Olive Branch: Wall had four solo tackles and seven assists in a 21-17 loss to Saltillo.
Ashton Shipp, Olive Branch: Shipp had nine total tackles, including three for loss, and a forced fumble.
Caleb Bobo, Olive Branch: Bobo had eight total tackles and a fumble recovery.
