Minnesota WR Adam Thielen talks about what the Vikings need to do to take the next step

Good but no Super Bowl — that’s been the story of many Vikings teams over the years.

Minnesota is one of the most successful franchises in the NFL without a title to its name.

The Vikings have the best winning percentage of any team without a Super Bowl victory. Their 547 winning percentage ranks as the seventh-most in the NFL right now.

Last year was a similar story: the Vikings won a playoff game before getting knocked out of the postseason by the 49ers.

Asked about what the team needs to do in order to take the next step, Vikings wideout Adam Thielen broke it down in simple terms.

“I think it really comes down to ‘just quit talking about it,'” Thielen told SiriusXM NFL Radio. “Like, we can talk about in the offseason, how great we feel about our team, how great we feel about all the weapons we have and our defense and our defensive scheme, our offensive scheme, how great all that is. Well, that’s great on paper, but that doesn’t win you games. What wins you games is going out there and executing.”

Thielen said it was great that the team got to the second round of the playoffs, but that’s not Minnesota’s end goal.

“Take advantage of every rep. Whether it be, you know, these walkthroughs we’ve been having because we can’t practice yet,” Thielen told SiriusXM NFL Radio. “The teams that are taking advantage of those and getting better on a daily basis, those are the teams that are going to make a run and have a chance when it comes February.”
