Miami Dolphins inactives in today's home game vs. New York Jets

MIAMI GARDENS -Among the Dolphins whose status have been in question heading into today's game against the Jets are:

Running back De'Von Achane (toe), center Liam Eichenberg (calf), guard Robert Hunt (hamstring), tackle Terron Armstead (knee/ankle), safety Jevon Holland (knees), cornerback Xavien Howard (hip) and receiver Tyreek Hill (ankle).

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel previously announced safety DeShon Elliott (concussion protocol) is out.

McDaniel also previously announced Hunt is out.

On Sunday, it was announced Holland, Hill and Howard are all out.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (10) prepares to enter the field for warm-ups before the start of a NFL football game against the Tennessee Titans at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Dec. 11, 2023.

This means Brandon Jones and Elijah Campbell or Nik Needham at safety for the Dolphins today.

This means a central role for Jaylen Waddle today and perhaps more reps for Cedrick Wilson.

Without Howard, Miami will need to go with Kader Kohou outside or leave Kohou inside and use Cam Smith or Eli Apple outside.

Achane and Eichenberg are suiting up.

But we can't say how much Achane will play and if Eichenberg or newcomer Jonotthan Harrison will start at center.

Armstead is suiting up, presumably to start at left tackle.
