The Mets got back in the win column against the Miami Marlins with a 6-2 win on Saturday.

Here are the takeaways...

- After a scoreless first inning, the Mets struck first in the second on Omar Narvaez’s sacrifice fly that scored Mark Canha who doubled to start the inning. The extra-base hit was Canha’s first hit of the season after an 0-for-6 start.

- Tylor Megill, who got in and out of trouble in the bottom of the first with two strikeouts, struck out Jean Segura to begin the second, but after walking Jesus Sanchez the right-hander fell behind in the count to Nick Fortes, 3-1, before serving up a two-run homer that gave Miami the lead. Megill settled down, though, and got through the rest of the inning unscathed.

- The home run turned out to be the only blemish on Megill’s line as the 27-year-old went five innings and gave up two earned runs on six hits, two walks while striking out seven.

He found trouble in the fifth inning after Luis Arraez led off the frame with his third hit of the day against Megill. After getting the next two hitters out, Jazz Chisholm Jr. doubled to put runners on second and third, but Megill clamped down and retired Bryan De La Cruz to finish his day and end the threat.

- On offense, the Mets tied the game in the fourth inning off the bat of Narvaez once again who drove in Canha on a single. Narvaez went 2-for-4 out of the nine hole.

In the fifth inning, New York retook the lead on back-to-back doubles by Jeff McNeil and Pete Alonso. After Daniel Vogelbach moved Alonso over to third on a groundout, Canha singled home Alonso to extend the lead to 4-2.

- The Mets added a run in the seventh inning on Canha’s solo home run as the outfielder broke out of his early season slump in a big way with a 3-for-4 night. It could’ve been a two-run shot had the umpires correctly called Alonso safe at first base two batters earlier after Garrett Cooper’s foot was off the bag. The Mets challenged the call, but it was upheld, inexplicably.

- New York’s bullpen was solid once again, pitching four innings of no-run ball and allowing four hits and one walk. Drew Smith put runners on first and third in the seventh inning, but Buck Showalter brought in Brooks Raley to face the lefty Chisholm and he got him to ground out to end the inning.

- Getting the day off in the field, Starling Marte pinch-hit for Luis Guillorme in the ninth inning and drove in a run with a ground-rule double that put the Mets firmly ahead, 6-2.
