The Mets snapped their three-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over the Colorado Rockies on Friday night at Citi Field.

Here are the takeaways...

- Kodai Senga made his first start after eight days' rest, tossing six scoreless innings on a career-high 101 pitches. He allowed just two hits, struck out four and walked four.

The right-hander retired the first two Rockies batters, but then walked Kris Bryant and C.J. CronJeff McNeil helped Senga avoid early damage by catching a line drive off the bat of Elias Diaz to end the first inning. Senga then tossed a 1-2-3 second inning, capping it off with a nice play at first base by reaching back to catch the ball from McNeil after it deflected off Pete Alonso's glove. Senga made it six straight retired before walking Jurickson Profar and Bryant in the third. He got a fly out to center to end the inning.

Senga let up his first hit of the night with two outs in the fourth, as Randal Grichuk singled to center. He then got the force out at second to end the inning and keep his shutout going. The right-hander tossed another 1-2-3 inning in the fifth, striking out Profar to end the side. Senga let up a two-out single in the sixth, but finished strong and got a ground out to end the inning.

- After the Mets went hitless the first time through the lineup against Antonio SenzatelaBrandon Nimmo led off the fourth with a line drive homer to right field, ending the team's 17-inning scoreless streak. Francisco Lindor then roped it to left-center, but was thrown out trying for two and the call on the field was upheld.

Nimmo showed off his defensive skills in the top of the fifth, making a diving catch in center that had Senga raising his hands in relief.

- Drew Smith came in to pitch the seventh inning, striking out two Rockies and allowing just a single.

- In the bottom of the seventh, Brett Baty crushed a one-out double off LHP Brent Suter that went over the left fielder's head, but Tommy Pham and Daniel Vogelbach both struck out to end the scoring chance.

- David Robertson issued a leadoff walk to Profar in the eighth, and after two fly outs, he would advance to second on a throwing error by Tomas Nido. Roberston then walked Diaz, but escaped the inning thanks to a line drive that hit pinch runner Brenton Doyle at first for the final out.

Adam Ottavino let up a leadoff single to Grichuk in the top of the ninth, and he'd steal second as Nido dropped the ball. Grichuk then advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt. Ottavino settled it to strike out Mike Moustakas and got Charlie Blackmon to line out to right to end the game.
