Who is starting for the Mets?
Left-hander Joey Lucchesi takes the ball looking to build off a strong start his last time out.
In his return to the big league level, the left-hander allowed just an unearned run while walking three and striking out two across seven terrific innings in a win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Lucchesi now has a pair of quality starts to go along with a 2.83 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 24 strikeouts over seven MLB appearances this season. While he has done well to limit the damage, he has issued 13 walks over that span.
In two career starts against the Marlins, Lucchesi has a stellar 0.87 ERA, 0.38 WHIP, and 13 strikeouts.
Who is starting for the Marlins?
Fellow southpaw Braxton Garrett will oppose Lucchesi.
Garrett has been having a breakout season for the Marlins, recording nine wins across 28 outings. He's also pitched to a strong 3.67 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 147 strikeouts while walking just 27 batters.
The 26-year-old threw just 3.2 innings in a loss to the Dodgers two starts ago, but he was able to rebound his last time out. Garrett held the Brewers scoreless across six innings and struck out seven batters in a 2-0 win.
He made his first two starts of the year against the Mets, but hasn't faced them since.

The Mets and Marlins close out their three-game set on Wednesday at 6:40 p.m. on SNY.
