Ever since Mike Norvell took over as the head coach at Memphis, the Tigers have made it a much bigger priority to keep talent home in the state of Tennessee. Those efforts have led to some pretty notable names signing with the school. With the recent success, things aren't going to slow down anytime soon, as the Tigers are now working hard to recruit underclassmen across the state as well. One of those prospects targeted by the Tigers is 2021 offensive lineman Austin Gentle, who netted an offer from Memphis earlier this year. Rivals.com caught up with him to talk recruiting, including his developing relationship with the Tigers coaches.

IN HIS WORDS

"I've got offers from Memphis, Louisville and Charlotte right now."

Memphis: "That was my first offer. I was very excited to get that one. I think we went out to eat to celebrate afterwards just because it was a big moment."

Coach Silverfield: "He was the one who offered me and we have been talking since. He's a pretty awesome dude and a really good coach. I really like what they're doing. They have a great weight room and he really does a good job of developing offensive linemen. Just being there, it's crazy to see the type of numbers they put up in the weight room. They had two guys that just graduated that signed with NFL teams so that shows what they are capable of."

Summer camps/visits: "I don't have my schedule set yet but I'm pretty sure I'll be going to Oklahoma's camp.. I would like to go Stanford, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Vanderbilt, too"
