MC Hammer's ode to Oakland raises tough questions for Raider Nation
The Deion Sanders-era Atlanta Falcons may have been 2 Legit 2 Quit, but MC Hammer is an Oakland native and die-hard Raiders fan.
With the Raiders potentially playing their final game in Oakland Monday, the 90s hip-hop icon released an ode to his town and his team on Christmas Eve, replete with shots of the Bay Bridge, the Oakland Coliseum and tailgating members of Raider Nation.
I stand #RaiderNation Proud 👊🏾💯 If this is truly the final goodbye, To the culture that is #RaiderNation to the Oakland Coliseum,The Players,The Blackhole,Ushers,Vendors,Cheerleaders and all,Salute and Thanks for the memories. Love Y’all Forever 👊🏾💯 pic.twitter.com/y0NoxgQKMg

Hammer celebrates Raiders
The video is a celebration of the Raiders and their fans with no hint of anger or bitterness over the team’s impending move.
Whether Monday’s game against the Denver Broncos is their final game in Oakland or another season awaits, the Raiders’ time in Oakland is short with a move to Las Vegas imminent.
Will Raider Nation show up in Las Vegas?
Raiders fans have gone through this before with the teaming bouncing from Oakland to Los Angeles and back to Oakland again. Through the moves, Raider Nation and the passion exemplified here by Hammer has traveled and remained strong.
But Las Vegas will present a new challenge for the fervent fan base as the team moves out of California. Will Raider Nation extend its boundaries beyond the Golden State, or will the Raiders truly start anew in Nevada?
Whether or not Hammer shows up to support the Las Vegas Raiders will be a good gauge.
