Former Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis is expected to be an assistant head coach on Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce's staff, according to multiple reports.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported last month that Lewis was expected to be part of Pierce's staff, a short time after the Raiders announced that they removed Pierce's interim tag.

Pelissero added that Lewis helped Pierce after the Raiders made Pierce their interim head coach this past season.

Pierce and Lewis shared defensive coordinator duties at Arizona State in 2020. The Raiders hired Pierce as their linebackers coach in 2022.

The Raiders are among eight opponents scheduled to visit Paycor Stadium during the 2024 season.

The 65-year-old Lewis was the head coach in Cincinnati from 2003 until he and the Bengals parted ways at the conclusion of the 2018 season.

Thesundevils.com no longer lists Lewis as a special advisor to ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham.
