Louisville women's basketball is 5 seed in 2024 ACC Tournament. Here's bracket and TV info
After splitting the regular season series with No. 17 Notre Dame, the 23rd-ranked Louisville Cardinals will be the No. 5 seed in the ACC women's basketball tournament.
The Cardinals missed out on a double-bye after falling to the Fighting Irish on the road Sunday in the regular season finale. As a result, they'll face the winner of the matchup between Clemson, the 12 seed, and No. 13 seed Boston College at 11 a.m. Thursday. If the Cardinals win, they will play the fourth-seeded Fighting Irish at 11 a.m. Friday.
Louisville will have to win three games in as many days to earn a trip to the conference championship game for a second consecutive year and the fifth time in seven seasons. U of L last won the league crown in 2018, beating Notre Dame, 74-72.
The ACC Tournament championship game is set for 1 p.m. Sunday and will be broadcast on ESPN.
Louisville, the only ACC team to start league play with a 5-0 record, was No. 1 in the conference standings early. But the Cardinals had a backloaded schedule which included six games against ranked opponents over the final 10 games of the regular season. They went 5-5 during the stretch.
After a rigorous February, Louisville will have three days of rest before taking the court again to start the postseason.
