Lottery-projected Dyson Daniels reveals his favorite NBA team was the Thunder

In an interview with ESPN Australia, lottery-projected prospect Dyson Daniels admitted he grew up an Oklahoma City Thunder fan.

The 19-year-old grew up in the middle of the team’s title-contending years during the 2010s, so it’s not surprising to hear Daniels admit the Thunder were his favorite team as a kid.

“OKC was my favorite team. I was growing up a Russell Westbrook fan,” said Daniels. “I loved watching them play, now (Josh) Giddey is there. I would say OKC is my favorite team. I love watching all the teams play, but I would say OKC is my main one.”

The G League Ignite star is projected to be a lottery pick that will not be there for the Thunder at No. 12. Picking Daniels at No. 2 is also pretty much off the table; that would be too high for him.
