Los Angeles Rams 'very likely' to trade All Pro CB Jalen Ramsey, per report

The Los Angeles Rams are reportedly looking to move on from Jalen Ramsey.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the three-time All Pro and six-time Pro Bowl cornerback is "very likely" to be traded as the Rams shift toward a rebuild and look to clear cap space. Los Angeles has engaged in trade talks, Pelissero added.

Ramsey, himself, isn't convinced.

"Lol I was just at Nobu in Malibu enjoying my lunch then phone wanna start buzzing," Ramsey said in a series of tweets following the report. "The 'story' sounds better than the truth sometimes I’ll admit that… I live in the truth tho. God is so great! I am blessed & highly favored!"

Earlier this month, Ramsey said: "100% chance I WONT get cut … God bless tho."

Ramsey was traded from the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Rams in October 2019 in exchange for a 2020 first-round pick, a 2021 first-round pick and a 2021 fourth-round pick. He signed a five-year, $105 million contract extension with the Rams 11 months later, becoming the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history at the time. The extension includes $71.2 million in guaranteed money.

REPORT: Rams parting ways with eight-time Pro Bowl LB Bobby Wagner

In three-and-a-half seasons with the Rams, Ramsey has racked up 10 interceptions in 56 starts, earning four Pro-Bowl selections, two first-Team All-Pro nods and his first Super Bowl title. But the Rams struggled to a 5-12 record – the worst mark for a defending Super Bowl champion in league history – amid a rash of injuries.
