A look at Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky high school bowlers to watch this season.

Strikes, spares, splits and turkeys. High school bowling has begun in Greater Cincinnati ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. Northern Kentucky teams began the first week of November and have played at least three matches apiece, while Southwest Ohio began last weekend.

Here is a look at some of the top bowlers.

Southwest Ohio boys

Brandon Baker, Batavia – The senior was first team all-league in the Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference after averaging 203.6 to help the Bulldogs to the American Division title and a 12-1 overall record. He had a high game of 268 and a two-game series of 527.

Andrew Berkemeier, St. Xavier – The senior averaged 206 last year with a high game of 270. He was first team all-league in the Greater Catholic League-South.

Aaron Bickford, St. Xavier – The senior averaged 198 last year with a high game of 279. He was first team all-league in the Greater Catholic League-South.

Broderick Brown, Northwest – The senior averaged 214.4 with a high game of 275 and series of 515 to help the Knights win the Southwest Ohio Conference.

Brady Burns, Loveland – The senior averaged 202 with a high game of 296 for the Eastern Cincinnati Conference champions, and was first team all-league.

Ben Carberry, Fairfield – He averaged 207.4 last year with a high game of 279 for the Indians, who were third place in the Greater Miami Conference. The junior was first team all-GMC.

Peyton Frank, Reading – The junior is the top returner for the Blue Devils, who were 15-0 and Cincinnati Hills League champions. He was first team all-CHL after averaging 206.6 with a high game of 269.

Bowen Garibay, Norwood – The senior averaged 194 with a high game of 279 for the Indians, who were 18-5 and 11-3 in the Miami Valley Conference.

Keller Harrison, Cincinnati Christian – The junior was first team all-league in the Miami Valley Conference after averaging 205.7 with a high game of 247.

Aiden Hoyte, Hamilton – The senior was first team all-league in the Greater Miami Conference after averaging 207.5 with a high game of 288.

Tanner Iles, Oak Hills – The junior was first team all-league in the Greater Miami Conference after averaging 211.7 with a high game of 266 to help the Highlanders finish second in the GMC.

Kyle Jackson, Northwest – The senior averaged 206 with a high game of 269 to help the Knights win the Southwest Ohio Conference and finish 18-1 overall.

Eljiah Mackenzie, Turpin – He averaged 188.5 for the Spartans, who were 13-3 and third place in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference.

Landon Mellinger, Wilmington – The senior averaged 204.7 with a high game of 248 and was first team all-league in the Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference.

Quentin Morgan, La Salle – The senior averaged 208.6 with a high game of 288, and was first team all-league in the Greater Catholic League-South.

Brandon Moritz, Clinton-Massie – The senior is one of several top returners for the Falcons, who were 11-3 and qualified for state as a team for the first time. He averaged 204 with a high game of 264.

Isaac Pletcher, Wilmington – The senior averaged 202.8 with a high game of 248 and was first team all-league in the Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference.

Tyler Richmond, La Salle – The senior averaged 188.5 last year with a high game of 256 and was second team all-league in the Greater Catholic League-South.

Ben Seger, Elder – He is a returning first team all-league player in the Greater Catholic League-South, and the top returner for the reigning GCL-S champion Panthers. He averaged 192 last year.

Edward Walker, Jr., Northwest – The senior was first team all-league in the Southwest Ohio Conference after averaging 204 with a high game of 277 to help the Knights win the league title and go 18-1 overall.

Southwest Ohio girls

Payton Beard, St. Ursula – The senior was first team all-league in the Girls Greater Catholic and is the top returner for the GGCL champion Bulldogs with a 181 average.

Danielle Brunner, Hamilton – The sophomore is the top returner for the Big Blue and was first team all-Greater Miami Conference after averaging 171 with a high game of 231.

Courtney Carmack, West Clermont – She was first team all-league in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference after averaging 170 last season.

Kendall Cook, Mercy McAuley – The sophomore was second team all-GGCL with a 166 average.

Carolyne Doyle, Harrison – The junior was first-team all-league in the Southwest Ohio Conference after leading the Wildcats to the league title and a 13-4 overall record. She averaged 178 with a high game of 257.

Carolyn Edmisten, Georgetown – The 2022-23 Division II Enquirer player of the year was bowler of the year in the SBAAC National Division after averaging 198.9 for the season and leading Georgetown to the division championship. She finished third in the sectional tournament and 14th in the district tournament.

Kylie Fisher, Wilmington – The 2022-23 Division I Enquirer player of the year was the player of the year in the Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference-American Division, leading the Hurricane to the league title and a 12-2 overall record. She averaged 198 with a high game of 280.

Anna Francisco, Harrison – The junior was first-team all-league in the Southwest Ohio Conference after leading the Wildcats to the league title and a 13-4 overall record. She averaged 178 with a high game of 235.

Haley Goodman, Northwest – The junior was first-team all-league in the Southwest Ohio Conference with a 183 average and high game of 226.

Lily Holder, Western Brown – The junior averaged 175 with a high game for 242 and was first team all-league in the Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference.

Ari Machuca, Batavia – She helped the Bulldogs finish 11-2 and in second place in the SBAAC-American. She averaged 169 and finished second team all-league.

Ellie Miller, Taylor – The senior was first team all-Cincinnati Hills League after averaging 156 and helping the Yellow Jackets finish second in the league.

Audrey Osman, Loveland – She was first team all-league in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference after averaging 169 last year.

Isabelle Peck, Batavia – She helped the Bulldogs finish 11-2 and in second place in the SBAAC-American. She averaged 165 with a high game of 278.

Brooklyn Porter, Cincinnati Christian – The junior was first team all-league in the Miami Valley Conference after averaging 167.

Karsen Power, Ross – The junior was first-team all-league in the Southwest Ohio Conference with a 164 average and high game of 225 and is one of the Rams’ top returners as they move to the Southwestern Buckeye League.

Kaylee Randolph, Bethel-Tate – The junior was first team all-league in the Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference after averaging 170.

Sophi Roberts, Princeton – She was second team all-Greater Miami Conference with a 156 average.

Reese Volk, Lakota West – The senior led the Firebirds to the Greater Miami Conference championship and a 20-0 overall record after averaging 196 with a high game of 246. She was first team all-GMC.

Nevaeh Williams, Walnut Hills – The junior was player of the year in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference, leading the Eagles to the league championship and averaging 194 with a high game of 246.

Northern Kentucky boys

Tyler Blume, Simon Kenton – He averaged 186 last season and finished 10th in the Region 5 tourney. Averaging 197 so far this season.

Bradley Brann, Pendleton County – He averaged 191 last season and finished 16th in the Region 5 tourney. Averaging 214 so far this season.

Kyan Brewer, Pendleton County – He averaged 201 last season and finished 11th in the Region 5 tourney. Averaging 216 so far this season.

Karson Enzweiler, Pendleton County – He averaged 185 last season and was Region 5 runner-up, then 30th at the state tourney. Averaging 164 so far this season

Riley Flerlage, Conner – He averaged 188 last season and finished third in the Region 6 tournament and 11th in the state tourney. Averaging 207 so far this season.

J.D. Hitt, Campbell County – He averaged 188 last season and finished fourth in the Region 5 tourney and 19th at state. Averaging 199 so far this season.

Dylan Inyart, Ryle – He averaged 198 last season and won the Region 6 championship. He also finished 26th at state. Averaging 218 so far this season.

Andrew Ketron, Cooper – He averaged 205 last season and finished seventh in the Region 6 tourney. Averaging 190 so far this season.

Tyler Ketron, Cooper – He averaged 190 last season and finished 13th in the Region 6 tourney. Averaging 212 so far this season.

Maddox Kuryla, Boone County – He averaged 205 last season and finished second in the Region 6 tournament and 15th in the state tourney. Averaging 223 so far this season.

Northern Kentucky girls

Lily Bauer, Simon Kenton – She finished eighth in the Region 5 tournament last year. Averaging 149 so far this season.

Alyssa Bechtol, Dixie Heights – She finished third in the Region 6 Tournament and 20th at state. Averaging 187 so far this season.

Kree Brewer, Pendleton County – She finished sixth in the Region 5 tournament. Averaging 182 so far this season.

Savanaha Cloyd, Campbell County – She finished fifth in the Region 5 tournament. Averaging 146 in two games this season.

Molly DeSola, Highlands – She finished seventh in the Region 5 tournament last year.

Haley Pelstring, Notre Dame – She finished seventh in the Region 6 Tournament and averaged 154 for the season.

Abby Sargent, Campbell County – She finished second in the Region 5 tournament and 28th at state. Averaging 180 so far this season.

Izzy Sears, Boone County – She finished fourth in the Region 6 Tournament and 21st at state. Averaged 161 last year and averaging 163 so far this season

Alexis Tignor, Cooper – She finished second in the Region 6 tournament and seventh at the state tourney. She averaged 177 last year and is averaging 158 so far this season

Abree Young, Dixie Heights – She finished ninth in the Region 6 tournament. She averaged 163 last year and averaging 180 so far this season.
