LOOK: LSU women’s basketball transfer Aneesah Morrow arrives on campus

One of LSU women’s basketball’s biggest offseason additions finally made her way to Baton Rouge on Wednesday.

Former DePaul star Aneesah Morrow officially arrived on campus to join a Tigers team that looks to repeat after winning its first national championship in program history this spring.

The forward was named the National Freshman of the Year by multiple publications in 2021-22, and this past season, she was named a Second Team All-American. In addition to former Louisville guard Hailey Van Lith, Morrow comprises one of the top transfer duos in the country.

Now, the Chicago native is in town as fall is about to begin.

After winning a national title in just her second season in Baton Rouge, coach Kim Mulkey is looking to build a powerhouse. With players like Morrow coming aboard, that vision seems to be within reach.
