Look: Harrison Mevis becomes Missouri's all-time scoring leader after field goal vs. Georgia

What a banner season Harrison Mevis has had for Missouri in 2023.

The Tigers kicker not only earned the longest field goal in SEC history — a 61-yarder to give Missouri a Week 3 win vs. Kansas State — but now is the all-time leading scorer in program history. He achieved the feat in the third quarter of No. 14 Missouri's game vs. top-ranked Georgia to give the Tigers (7-2, 3-2 in SEC play) a 13-10 lead.

Mevis' 42-yard field goal with 11:42 left in the third quarter officially gave him the program record while giving the Tigers a 13-10 lead over No. 1 Georgia in what ultimately was a 30-21 defeat in Athens.

With that, here's a look at where Mevis ranks all time in Missouri scoring history following his history-making game vs. the Bulldogs:

Harrison Mevis scoring record

According to his Missouri player bio, Mevis entered the 2023 season with 288 career points, good for fourth in Missouri history. He trailed only only Andrew Baggett (355 points from 2012-15); Tucker McCann (358 points from 2016-19); and Jeff Wolfert (362 points from 2006-08).

Mevis entered Saturday's game vs. Georgia with 357 career points, meaning he needed only two field goals to eclipse the mark Wolfert set during his career in Columbia. He achieved that with his third-quarter field goal, finishing the day with seven combined points (two field goals, one point after attempt).
