PEORIA — Peoria Rivermen captain Alec Hagaman had a magnificent career with the 41-year pro hockey franchise.

The only Peoria-born captain in the franchise's history retired at age 33 in April after the defending Southern Professional Hockey League champions' playoff run ended.
