Lonnie Walker IV plans to play on Monday against the Bucks
The Brooklyn Nets have another tough test ahead of them as they welcome the Milwaukee Bucks to Barclays Center on Monday. The good thing for the Nets is, they should have the services of one of their bench players who has performed well thus far into the young season.
On Monday, Evan Barnes of Newsday reported that Lonnie Walker IV, who is currently listed as probable for Monday’s matchup against the Bucks, plans to play despite his knee soreness. Walker was listed on the injury report prior to Saturday’s game against the Boston Celtics, but he ended up playing through his knee ailment.
Walker, 24, is averaging 14.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 51% from the field and 43.5% from three-point land in five games played. Walker is averaging per-game career-highs in points, rebounds, assists, field-goal percentage, and three-point percentage while playing the fewest minutes per game that he has played since his second season in the NBA when he was with the San Antonio Spurs.
Lonnie Walker IV was listed on the injury report prior to Saturday's game against the Celtics with this injury, but he ended up playing and looked fine. Unless he receives a downgrade from his probable status, I expect him to play tonight against the Milwaukee #Bucks. #Nets https://t.co/ow8S0PCzQG
