Logos for all six teams making up TGL, the Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy interactive golf league

The rosters are set, with the exception of one spot. The shovels are in the ground, again. Time slots have been booked on ESPN.

TGL, the Palm Beach Gardens-based interactive golf league headed by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy and owned by TMRW Sports Group, is inching closer to its inaugural season of high tech, live-action golf in a custom built arena with many of the greatest players in today's game showing their skills ... while mic'd up.

TGL is honing this unique brand of golf combining advanced technology with six teams that include half of the top 20 in the current World Golf Rankings, which does not include Woods, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler. The league plans to launch Jan. 7.

The franchises are set, with some of sports biggest names involved in ownership, and the logos have been finalized. Here are the logos with each's backstory.

Roster: Co-owner Tiger Woods, Max Homa, Tom Kim, Kevin Kisner.

The logo is 'Tiger Red' and includes a 'Palm Flag' — a golf pin in the shape of a palm tree with a vintage flag that reads 'FL.' The palm flag is a signature element "combining the beach and golf lifestyle" of South Florida.

The handwritten font is a nod to Tiger’s signature and the palm branches breaking the red circle represent the rising sun on the horizon. The three distinct sections of the pin represent the three competing Jupiter Links GC golfers at each TGL match. While each team includes four players, three will play each match.

Roster: Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Billy Horschel, Lucas Glover.

Atlanta's primary color — red — falls in line with owner Arthur Blank's other franchises, the NFL Falcons and MLS Atlanta United. The logo is constructed from a driver and golf ball to form the letter 'A.' The letter also features a loop reminiscent of Atlanta’s thoroughfares and highway system.

The name was picked as a "modern reflection of the continual forward progression that defines Atlanta’s legacy from music and design to business and technology."

Roster: Ludvig Aberg, Wyndham Clark, Min Woo Lee, Shane Lowry.

The Bay, with an ownership group that includes Golden State Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, revealed a logo that draws inspiration from the San Francisco Bay Area.

The logo pays homage to the team’s Northern California roots, combining the majestic redwood forest with elements of golf. The color reflects the landscape and golfing allure of the region, blending modern sophistication with the region’s lush scenery.

Boston Common Golf

Roster: Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott, player to be announced.

This team, owned by the Fenway Sports Group, recognizes the city’s iconic public park. Boston Common, located at the heart of the city, is the country’s first public park and includes ball fields, children play areas and Frog Pond, the inspiration for the team's logo.

Because of the park connection, grazing animals and the Massachusetts state bird, the black-capped chickadee, were considered. But the bullfrog was selected because of the popular Frog Pond, a reflecting pool in the summer that become a spot to ice skate in the winter. The belly of the bullfrog is a dimpled golf ball.

Los Angeles Golf Club

Roster: Tommy Fleetwood, Sahith Theegala, Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose.

This star-studded ownership group that includes Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Alex Morgan, Servando Carrasco and Michelle Wie West went with traditional and innovative, inspired from LA's golfing heritage while embracing the city's dynamic culture.

The Old English and San Serif fonts symbolize the connection between golf's tradition and its modern evolution in Los Angeles. The interconnected 'L' and 'A' represents the sport's potential to unite diverse communities within the city. A driver intersects both letters and includes three grooves, which represents the three players who will represent the club at each match.

New York Golf Club

Roster: Matt Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele, Cameron Young.

The logo for Mets owner Steven Cohen's team is inspired by New York’s state bird, the Eastern Bluebird, which is often found where forests meet fields, particularly on golf courses. The design features a golf club shaped into the form of a wing with four grooves, one for each player. The circle represents circles on golf scorecards and the NYC Subway.

The coloring, shades of blue, is for the city's harbor and waterways. They included New York Navy, Birdie Blue and Hudson Mist.
