Local bowling: Women, youth players complete tournaments
The Greater Abilene Texas USBC has completed all the tournaments required by United States Bowling Congress (USBC) for bowling season 2023/2024.
The results of Women’s and Youth tournaments are listed below.
Women
TEAM: Division 1 Handicap - Dolls with Balls – Margaret Niedecken, Beth St Jean, Angela Lindsey and Casi St Jean 2642. DOUBLES: Division 1 Handicap – Laura Matthew and Natalie Nickerson 1276. Division 2 Handicap - Beth Malone and Lisa Unruh 1284. SINGLES: Division 1 Handicap – Natalie Nickerson 707. Division 2 Handicap – Pamela Kirby 711. ALL EVENTS: Division 1 Handicap – Natalie Nickerson 2054, Division 2 Handicap – Pamela Kirby 2031. SCRATCH ALL EVENTS: Division 1 – Natalie Nickerson 1604, Division 2 – Melissa Pack 1344. YOUTH: TEAM: Division 1 Handicap – PYSL #1 – Audree Hermosillo, Maddelynn Goldsby and Marshal Bruton 2064, Division 2 Handicap – Matthew Fahntrapp, Jameson Fahntrapp and Jaxson Kolicius 1865. DOUBLES: Division 1 Handicap – Colton Roady and Ian Lopez 1271, Division 2 Handicap – Maddelyn Goldsby and Audree Hermosillo 1404. SINGLES: Division Handicap 1 – Colton Roady 715, Division 2 Handicap – Audree Hermosillo 801. All the prize money earned by the youth bowlers will the placed in their account at USBC.
HIGH GAMES/SERIES: Men with games of 250 or better were Robbie Reinert (289), Bryan St Jean (276), Dylan Huestis (268) and Johnnie Stubbs (267), 700 or better series was Dylan Huestis (711). Women with games of 200 or better were Amy Rutledge (258, 223), Cathy Morton (209) and Kit Clark. 600 or better was Any Rutledge (705).
BOWLING HIGHLIGHTS: David Stilson bowled a 186 All Spare game on March 19. Noke Logan bowled a seventy-five pin over average series on February 13.
Reminder that The Greater Abilene TX USBC will be holding their Annual Open Membership Meeting and Awards Presentation on April 6, 2024, at the Northwest Church of Christ. The church is located at 1141 North Willis. Meeting will begin at 10 a.m. The meeting is open to all GR Abilene TX USBC adult and youth members.
