Texas A&M-Kingsville football rebounds with win against Western Oregon

The Texas A&M-Kingsville football team responded to last week's loss by capturing a 34-27 Lone Star Conference win against Western Oregon on Saturday at McArthur Field in Monmouth, Oregon.

A&M-Kingsville, which began the night ranked No. 10 in the regional rankings, improved to 6-3 overall and 4-3 in LSC play.

Javelina quarterback Wade Freeman III passed for 173 yards and four touchdowns in the victory with the defense recording four interceptions, including an interception returned for a touchdown by Khalen Leonard.

A&M-Kingsville, which lost to to Central Washington last week, is now 2-5 all-time against Western Oregon.
