HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Luke Rodgers has career night for Sandwich boys basketball win

Luke Rodgers recorded a career-high 25 points for Sandwich boys basketball team in a 82-60 win over Hull on Tuesday. Dan Oman scored 17 points, Connor Finn added 12 points and six assists, and Cole Rodgers contributed 11 points for Sandwich (6-6).

Boys Basketball

St. John Paul II 72, Rising Tide 43: The Lions (2-10) picked up their second win of the season as Matt Curley scored a game high of 33 points. Brandon Gomes chipped in 11 points, while Daniel Cordeiro added 10 points for JPII.

Nantucket 58, Monomoy 43: The Whalers (10-6) snapped a two-game slide, while the Sharks lost back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Cape Tech 62, Bristol Aggie 44: The Crusaders (8-8) are back to .500 on the season as they snapped a two game losing streak.

Blue Hills 63, Upper Cape 58: The Rams (10-4) ended a three-game win streak with the loss.

Nauset 57, Falmouth 53 (OT): The Warriors (5-8) have won two straight, while the Clippers (4-9) have dropped two straight games.

Randolph 49, Mashpee 48: After the Falcons (7-9) trailed by nine midway through the fourth quarter, they came back and tied the game with 15 seconds left. Randolph stole the ball, and knocked down one of two free throws that sealed the win.

Girls Basketball

Falmouth 54, Nauset 24: The Clippers (8-5) have won two of their last three games, while the Warriors (6-8) have dropped three of the last four. Teagan Lind led the way with a game high of 23 points, while Skylar Plourde and Hailey Lynch each added five points for Falmouth.

Sandwich 68, Hull 45: After their first loss of the season last game, the Blue Knights (12-1) bounced back with a win. Junior Ayla Whitney finished with six points and five rebounds, while sophomore Hannah Sareault added six points and four rebounds for Sandwich.;

Falmouth Academy 25, Sturgis West 23 (OT): The Mariners (8-4) pulled off the overtime victory over the Navigators (3-7). Willow Lajoie led the team with seven points, while Maria Soares added six points for Falmouth Academy.

Monomoy 50, St. John Paul II 49 (OT): The Sharks (7-7) have won back-to-back games for the second time, while the Lions (11-4) six game win streak ended. Susannah Brown had a double double of 14 points and 13 rebounds for Monomoy.

Nantucket 53, Rising Tide 18: After a 1-6 start to the season, the Whalers (6-6) have won five games in a row.

Upper Cape 50, Norfolk Aggie 31: The Rams (10-2) remained hot with their ninth straight win.

Bristol Aggie 46, Cape Tech 43: The Crusaders (6-10) came up just short at home.

Boys Swimming

Sandwich 82, Nauset 76: The Blue Knights picked up the win over the Warriors. Nauset's 200 Free Relay team qualified for sectionals, while the 400 Free Relay team qualified for States. Will Crowell also qualified for States in the 100 Butterfly.

Girls Swimming

Nauset 103, Sandwich 66: The Warriors swam to a victory over the Blue Knights. Izzy Hardwicke qualified for Sectionals in the 200 Free, while Laura Kaser qualified for Sectionals in the 200 IM for Nauset.
