Game recap: IU football loses to Rutgers on homecoming, 31-14
The Indiana football team is winless in the Big Ten this season (2-4 overall) and hopes to turn things around today at home against Rutgers (5-2 overall, 2-2 Big Ten).
IU has lost three of its last four games and the team continues to search for a permanent quarterback. Both wins for the Hoosiers this season have come at Memorial Stadium.

IU led early and tied it at 14-14, but Rutgers just overpowered the Hoosiers in the second half. Brendan Sorsby threw for 126 yards (15 for 31) and had a touchdown. Trent Howland led the rushing attack with 9 attempts and 54 yards. Omar Cooper had just 1 catch (a 35-yard touchdown), but led the team in receiving yards.
For the defense, Aaron Casey had 9 total tackles. Nick James had the team's only sack.

For the third time today, Rutgers quarterback Gavin Wimsatt has a rushing touchdown. This time it came on an 80-yard run. Wimsatt faked a handoff, ran left and then avoided IU defenders the rest of the way.

Rutgers got the ball first in the second half and chewed up a lot of the quarter in just one drive. Rutgers quarterback Gavin Wimsatt scored his second rushing TD of the day with a 1-yard run. The drive went 12 plays and 75 yards.
