Fall River area high school football Week 9 scoreboard
FALL RIVER — The high school football season is heading into the football state tournament session for Fall River area teams that are playing playoffs and non-playoff games.
Diman and Somerset Berkley will each play a Friday Night Light playoff game in Week 9.
Three other teams — Atlantis Charter/Westport, Case and Durfee — will each host a non-playoff games.
It's almost kickoff time.

Thursday
Non-playoff
Case 28, Millis 12: Jack Orton threw for three touchdowns and was 12-for-16 passing with 138 yards to lead the Cardinals to a non-playoff win against Mills. Nathan Wood rushed for 88 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown run. Braden Bibeau caught six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown. Chris Gaboriault (26 yards) and Will Leboeuf (8 yards) each caught touchdown passes. Aedan Borges made all four extra points.
Friday
Playoffs
Division I first round
King Philip 41, Diman 0: The Warriors jumped out to a 27-0 lead in the first quarter and went on to beat Diman in the Division I Round of 16 game. The Bengals made their first playoff appearance since 2013.
Division IV first round
Somerset Berkley 29, Westwood 20: Sam Grew had a game to remember for the Raiders, scoring three touchdowns and rushed for a career-high 221 yards as SBR advances to the Elite 8 with a Division 4 Round of 16 win against Westwood. Ethan Santos caught a touchdown pass from Derek Baliko. Austin Desouto and Kaven Dos Santos each converted a 2-point conversion.
Non-playoff
Upper Cape 28, Atlantis Charter/Westport 12: The Tritons dropped a non-playoff game against Upper Cape. Davion Adediran had a rushing touchdown and passed for 192 yards. He also rushed for 62 yards. Collyn Viveiros had a 76 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Bradey Viveiros rushed for 82 yards.
Durfee 34, Brookline 6: The Hilltoppers captured their second win of the season, beating Brookline in a non-playoff game. Eric Lucas scored a pair of touchdowns for Durfee (2-7). Jason Springer, KJ Strong and Eli Chace each scored a touchdown in the win. Strong also rushed for a team-high 52 yards and completed 4-of-7 passing for 66 yards.
