Lions fan excitement ‘the wind beneath my freaking wings’ for Dan Campbell
Dan Campbell is well known for his love of the band Metallica, but on Saturday morning he showed some musical range. He quoted none other than Bette Midler in response to a question at his pre-practice press conference.
When asked about how the fans selling out Ford Field’s season tickets for the first time, Campbell channeled his inner Divine Miss M.
“It’s the wind beneath my freaking wings,” Campbell enthused earnestly, referencing Midler’s biggest hit. He made sure to let reporters know he was serious about how much he and his players draw inspiration from the fans, too.
