Lions could use trio of running backs this season
Lions head coach Jim Caldwell hinted that the team could use Reggie Bush, Joique Bell and Theo Riddick extensively this season, the Detroit Free Press reports on Saturday.
Reggie Bush and Joique Bell shared the reps last season. Bush earned 223 of the 389 carries between the two in 2013. Riddick, who only caught four passes last season, is expected to have a bigger role this season and is considered the best receiver among the group, per the paper.
"They're pretty versatile guys, to be honest with you," Caldwell said. "There are a lot of similarities. I think shuffling them in and out of there will give you a different view from a defensive standpoint because they give you a one-two-three punch that's pretty unique."
