LINKS OF UNITY: Area seniors put their best swings forward in medal play
Several area golfers enjoyed the circuit-to-circuit journey during Tuesday's Adams Senior Men's Golf Association medal play competition.
Three veterans turned back the calendar by shooting a gross score that equaled or totaled less than their age -- Wendell Price (age 74, score 69), Bob Carse (age 73, score 73) and Ben Lewis (age 87, score 85).
Wendell Price spliced together a championship round, winning the A Flight gross crown (69).
Steve Hughes notched a razor-close runner-up score (70), followed by Jim Jenkins and Jim Sasaki tied for third (76).
The A Flight net set was led by Mike Tyndall (66), followed by a two-way tie (68) between Bob Carse and Benny Whitworth.
B Flight (gross): 1-Bart Riling (80), 2-Ed John (83), 3-Gary Reheis (85).

Adams hosts Tulsa District women's tourney
Adams Golf Course received another wave of recognition by hosting the recent Tulsa District Women's Golf Association tourney.
