Lincoln Riley’s late-night emoji tweets equal four USC commits on Tuesday

Emoji after dark. That’s how Chris Trevino of 247 Sports characterized it. Lincoln Riley, having already landed two commitments for USC’s 2024 recruiting class on Tuesday, tweeted out the “Fight On!” emoji two more times late Tuesday night, pointing to a four-commit day for the Trojans. Those two added commitments haven’t been announced just yet, but if you follow “emoji math” at USC, you can put two and two together (in this case, literally) and see that USC had two formally announced commitments on Tuesday, plus two not-yet-announced commitments.

Two plus two equals four.

USC will have 17 commitments for its 2024 class when these two (as yet) unannounced commitments are ultimately revealed.

Here are Riley’s two late-night emoji tweets, complete with the added dots which identify repeated tweets. (As you might know, Twitter doesn’t allow anyone to tweet the same exact tweet within an hour or thereabouts. That’s why Riley adds dots: The tweet isn’t an exact duplicate of the one sent an hour or 30 minutes earlier.)

USC, with these two added commitments, would pass Penn State for sixth in the nation in the 2024 cycle, and third in the Big Ten. The Trojans would come very close to passing Notre Dame in a battle for the No. 5 recruiting class in the rankings.

Our 2024 football recruiting tracker is collecting each new commitment when it is formally announced. Keep coming back for the new updates after these next two commitments and more!
