It’s no secret Lil Wayne is the biggest of celeb Green Bay Packers fans, but he went into some pretty great detail about just how deep it runs during a recent appearance with 2 Chainz on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

Fallon showed a photo of the rapper leading the charge of Packers players out of the Lambeau Field tunnel for the prime-time game against the Detroit Lions on Sept. 28 (a day after Lil Wayne’s 41st birthday) and wondered how something like that happens.

“Me and the (Packers head) coach, Matt LaFleur, are real, real, real good friends, and I'm a huge Green Bay Packers fan since forever and a day,” said Lil Wayne, who grew up in New Orleans.

“You're from New Orleans and you just enjoy the Green Bay Packers?” Fallon asked.

“I love ‘em,” Lil Wayne corrected him with the utmost earnestness, making for cutest moment of the segment.

Lil Wayne has talked previously about how it was his dad who first turned him on to the Packers. He was in attendance at Super Bowl XXXI at the Louisiana Superdome when the Packers defeated the New England Patriots in 1997. He brought home all kinds of Packers memorabilia, including towels and cups.

“In the hood, that’s not stuff you like throw away, you actually use that every day," Lil Wayne told Fallon during Friday's show. "So every day I’m using a Green Bay champs cup, I’m showering with a Green Bay towel, I’m a Green Bay fan.”

Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz performed their new single, "Presha," on "The Tonight Show." Their joint album, "Welcome 2 Collegrove," drops Nov. 17 on Def Jam Recordings.
