LeBron James is reportedly relieved after Bronny James’ cardiac arrest
Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, went into cardiac arrest during an informal workout at the University of Southern California on Monday.
While he was discharged from the intensive care unit fairly quickly, he isn’t necessarily out of the woods yet, depending on what a battery of medical tests could reveal. A number of doctors have publicly said there’s a good chance the younger James’ basketball career will have to end, although nothing is certain right now.
The good news: According to TMZ, his condition has improved enough to the point where the elder James is relieved.

“Bronny James is doing well enough after his health scare that his parents are “relieved,” sources with knowledge tell TMZ Sports.
“We’re told Bronny is doing much better … well enough that his parents are calmer. Not to say, of course, they’re not anxious to know what caused Bronny’s heart to stop, but they seem to have gotten enough reassurance from his doctors to tamp down the fear. One word used to describe them — ‘optimistic.’
“One sign that must have reassured LeBron and Savannah — Bronny was only in ICU for a short time.”
The younger James committed to playing his college ball at USC after a senior season of high school in which he showed plenty of growth. Many believe he has NBA potential, but, of course, that ambition is a distant second to his health and well-being now.
