LeBron James Just Showed Off His Ripped Abs in a New Shirtless Photo

From Men's Health

Basketball season looks set to resume in the very near future following a hiatus lasting nearly four months due to the pandemic. And LeBron James, for one, is more than ready to get back on the court and pick up "revenge season" where he left off. The legendary power forward looks absolutely shredded in a new photo posted to Instagram by the L.A. Lakers, captioned simply "Year 17" to denote his remarkable career longevity as one of the best players in the NBA.

It should come as no surprise that LeBron is coming out of lockdown looking as swole as hell; the 35-year-old player has been sharing regular updates into how he's been faring with his exhaustive at-home workouts during quarantine. First, he offered fans insight into his workout split by posting a snapshot of a breakdown of his workouts, including plenty of cable work and a focus on building stability as well as strength.

He followed that with a series of workout videos demonstrating his proficiency at the core-busting battle ropes, and the Pallof press, which uses a cable or band to test core strength. More recently on IGTV, LeBron has been showing off his hanging knee raises, sled push, dumbbell deadlift, and Romanian deadlift.

All of which is almost enough to make us forget about those injury-risking "sexy squats" of his. Almost.

On a personal level, LeBron was actively opposed to the idea of canceling the rest of the NBA season, tweeting earlier this year: "As soon as it's safe, we would like to finish our season. I'm ready and our team is ready. Nobody should be canceling anything."

He's certainly been training like the season starts again tomorrow. And from the looks of these latest Lakers shots, that grind is paying off.
