Lebanon splits with Hamilton Heights in track

Mar. 13—Lebanon kicked off their track and field season on Tuesday evening by hosting Hamilton Heights.

The Tigers split with the Huskies, winning the boys meet 89-43 and falling in the girls 84-48.

On the boys side: Trey Ries won the 100 in 11.6 and the 200 in 23.3, Curtis Hicks won the 400 in 55.4, Tyler Meyer won the 800 in 2:07.7, Marshal Royal won the 3,200 in 10:39.75 and Daniel Richards won the 300-hurdles.

The Tigers got field event wins from Donyell Moore in the high jump with a jump of 5-10, Chase Tucker in the pole vault in 10-feet-6-inches, Ries in the long jump in 21-feet-0.5-inches, and Mason Crew in the shot put (44-feet-1-inch) and discus (150-feet-4-inches).

The Lebanon 4x100 relay team of Daniel Frost, Francisco Luyindula, Samuel Torres and Ries won in 45.1. The 4x400 team of Isaac Harvey, Jacob Jones, Jeffry Jones and Hicks won in 3:44.8, and the 4x800 team of Tucker Warthan, William Meyer, Isaac Harvey and Aydan Wetter won in 9:11.0.

Francisco Luyindula was second in the 100 in 11.7 and the 200 in 23.6, Meyers was second in the 1,600 in 4:50.4, Daniel Richards was second in the 110-hurdles in 18.0, Themba Mkwananzi was in the 300 hurdles, Jeremiah Howard was second in the long jump.

For the girls, Penny Lamerson won the 3,200 in 12:06.2 and Jazmine Moore won the 300-hurdles in 58.4.

Ciarra Hiatt set the school record in the pole vault with a height of 9-feet-6-inches.

Soteria Udu was second in the 100 in 13.3, Claire Boling was second in the 200 in 28.2, Sophia Kyker in the 400 in 1:03.7, Sarah Keith was second in the 1,600 in 6:03, Jazmine Moore was second in the 100-hurdle in 19.0, Sha'Myaih McNeal was second in 1:00.0.

The 4x100 team of Jocelyn Butler, Leila Richards, Soteria Udu, Edwina Yealu was second in 53.9. The 4x400 team of Autumn Jones, Sha'Myaih McNeal, Heaven Tunstill and Claire Boling was 4:55.9. And the 4x800 team of Sophia Kyker, Jaycie French, Madison Platt and Penny Lamerson placed second.

Soteria Udu got second in the long jump in 15-2 and second in the shot put in 30-feet-10-inches. Carley Adams was second in the discus in 84-5.
