Lebanon-native Barr sets juco school record with 10 triples

Feb. 3—Asia Barr left many memories playing basketball for the Lebanon High Devilettes.

Now a junior college sophomore playing her home games some four hours away, Barr is leaving not only memories, but her name in the Walters State Community College record book. And she did it in a game played less than 30 minutes from her hometown.

Barr sank a school-record 10 3-pointers during a 30-point performance Monday night as Walters State rolled to a 77-37 thumping of host Vol State in Gallatin. Her 30 points surpassed her previous career high by 10 set earlier this season. Her freshman high was 17 last season, also at Vol State.

She hit two triples in the first quarter, one in the second, three in the third and four in the fourth.

Barr is averaging 12.3 points and 5.7 assists per game for the Senators.
