Lebanon junior named to Pennsylvania all-state first team

Lebanon junior Kailah Correa was selected to the Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Girls Basketball Team, receiving first-team honors in Class 6A.

Correa, a 5-foot-4 junior, averaged 19.0 points per game this season, in which the Cedars won Lancaster-Lebanon League Section One, appeared in the L-L championship game, placed third in District 3 and lost in the first round of the state tournament.

In the last two seasons, Correa was on the second team. She entered her junior year already in the 1,000-point club and is now at 1,591 points scored in her high school career. Her season-high in scoring came in a 42-point performance against McCaskey on Jan. 23.

Correa’s success in the last year was not limited to the high school court. She has also excelled in AAU, including a national title with the Philly Rise squad last summer at the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Nationals 16U.
