Latest on Mark Sears' decision from NBA Draft combine

Alabama basketball guard Mark Sears' future remains unclear.

Will he stay in the NBA Draft? Or will he return to the Crimson Tide for one more season?

Sears is participating in the NBA Draft combine in Chicago this week, and Sports Illustrated asked him about his potential stay-or-go decision. Sears responded he is "all in on this draft process."

Sears also told a reporter from the Daily Memphian that a guarantee from a team in the first round or early-to-mid second round will impact his decision.

Sears has one season of collegiate eligibility remaining, if he so chooses. He entered the draft while maintaining his college eligibility in April. The NBA Draft withdrawal deadline for early entrants is May 29 to maintain college eligibility. The NBA Draft is set to begin on June 26.

Sears led the Crimson Tide to the Final Four in 2024, his second season playing for Nate Oats. Sears averaged 21.5 points per game in 2023-24, and he became a consensus second-team All-American and an All-SEC first team honoree.
