Latest March Madness predictions for Alabama basketball during open week

Despite the loss to Auburn a week ago, Alabama basketball remains in a similar spot for March Madness predictions and NCAA Tournament projections.

The No. 3 seed spot seems to be the consensus spot right now for the Crimson Tide as it chases an SEC regular season title. Alabama, who sits tied for first place, also won the SEC a season ago.

There are plenty of games still to be played, though. Seven SEC games remain on the schedule before the conference tournament in Nashville. Alabama doesn't have a week-day game this week, but it will face Texas A&M on Saturday (11 a.m., ESPN) at Coleman Coliseum.

Before the game this weekend, here are the latest NCAA Tournament predictions for Alabama and coach Nate Oats.
