Landyn Cox signs with Cumberlands

Feb. 20—On Saturday, January 22, at the Lancaster Archery Classic in Pennsylvania, Cumberland River Straight Shooters Archery team member Landyn Cox signed his letter of intent to shoot archery at the University of the Cumberlands. His sister, Pro Archer Madison Cox, shoots for the Patriots as well.

Cox is a senior at Jackson County High School and the son of Cumberland River's Head Coach Rob Cox.

He started shooting archery in fourth-grade with S3DA. Cox has numerous accomplishments including making the 2024 USA Archery U18 Compound National Team, the 2023 USA Archery Youth World Championships team, and the 2022 USA Archery team that competed in the Rhinehart World Archery 3D Championships in Terni, Italy.

His most recent accomplishment was winning the Young Adult Champion Class at the Rushmore Rumble with a perfect score of 900. Cox shoots S3DA, USA Archery, and ASA tournaments. He will move to the Pro class in ASA this year.
