Lakers news: Frank Vogel gives update on Anthony Davis’ status
The Los Angeles Lakers have gone just 3-6 since LeBron James suffered an injury that has knocked him out of the lineup indefinitely, and while Andre Drummond was supposed to bolster the lineup, he quickly exited with a toe injury in his debut.
Unfortunately for the defending champs, it could be a while before either of their franchise cornerstones return to the lineup. Anthony Davis has not played since Feb. 14th due to a calf strain, and on Sunday prior to a loss to the Clippers, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel revealed Davis is still “a ways away.” Davis has missed 27 games in total this season, and is on pace to play the fewest games in a season in his career this year.
Frank Vogel says Anthony Davis (calf strain) is still “a ways away” from returning. Tuesday will mark seven weeks since Davis’ last appearance for the Lakers.

The Lakers will return to the court on Tuesday night in Tampa to play the Toronto Raptors.
