Lady Vols open 2023 season at Alabama
Tennessee played at Alabama on Tuesday to open its 2023 season.
The Lady Vols and Crimson Tide played to a 2-2 tie in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The contest was an exhibition.
Cameron Silva scored a goal for Alabama in the 34th minute.
Alabama extended its advantage to, 2-0, after Felicia Knox converted a penalty kick five minutes into the second half.
Samantha Agresti and Jenna Stayart scored goals for Tennessee.
Tennessee outshot Alabama, 16-7. The Lady Vols earned 11 corner kicks in the game, while Alabama had four.
The Lady Vols will next play Jacksonville State in an exhibition contest on Saturday at Regal Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. EDT.
