Lady Vols' Jewel Spear's big game vs. Alabama sets SEC Women's Tournament history
Tennessee women's basketball will keep on dancing in the SEC Women's Tournament — and the Lady Vols have Jewel Spear, in part, to thank.
On top of leading her team to an 83-61 upset victory over No. 4 seed Alabama, Spear made some history herself in doing something no other player has in the history of the SEC Women's Tournament: She went a perfect 6 for 6 from 3-point range.
The 5-foot-10 guard finished with a game-high 24 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field, helping lift Tennessee to a date with No. 1 seed South Carolina in Saturday's SEC Tournament semifinals.
